Posted on 03 January 2011 at 14:47:23 GMT When firing a concentration you use a single round template - and for a barrage it's several square ones next to each other ... What shape template do you use when a single unit is firing? Or put another way, does a single unit shoot count as a barrage or a concentration? Puzzled |

Posted on 03 January 2011 at 19:29:33 GMT surely the square as it covers slightly more ground(ie corners) but the effect will be the same. |

Posted on 04 January 2011 at 17:26:23 GMT Pete: "Personally I wouldn't do a barrage if only one unit was firing - there's no point." Agreed, but one unit firing is hardly a concentration either. And if you leave the decision to the player then there is a point - the size of area affected is bigger if you count it as a barrage. Puzzled |

Posted on 04 January 2011 at 21:59:56 GMT exactly my point. surely a concentration as the name suggests implies more than one battery firing as a barrage could be the whole battery firng even if it is only represented by one model. |

Posted on 06 January 2011 at 14:02:44 GMT We use the square template, ie. a barrage, for a single battery. The round template we only use as a concentration of >1 battery firing at one point, the benefit being more dice but over a slightly smaller area (~80%) Have we got it wrong? |

Posted on 06 January 2011 at 20:43:17 GMT IF we are talking fire by "artillery support units" then I thought they do not use templates but fire at individual unit targets like Infantry Guns / Mortars? Carl the confused |

Posted on 06 January 2011 at 23:48:07 GMT Haha! No, we're talking about units of Artillery Support, not Artillery Support Units - there's a BIG difference! I think it's one of Pete's little jokes to give off-table artillery (Artillery Support, that are units) and on-table artillery (Artillery Support Units) such similar names - as though there isn't enough confusion in the world already!
