Sorry if this has come up before but the modifiers state that for units entering the board at 10cm speed there is a -1 modifier (ie for troops on foot) and that units at 30cm speed get a +1 modifier.

However after a quick flick through the stats section i can only find the Vickers Mk 6. with 30cm speed. Isn't the mobile deployment modifier slightly unnecessary since the Mk.6 only turns up on a handful of lists?

Or am i reading this wrong somewhere?

Others with 30cm move:

Sdkfz 231/232
Sdkfz 234/1
Sdkfz 234/2 Puma
Sdkfz 233
Sdkfz 234/3
Sdkfz 234/4
Vickers Mk IV
M18 Hellcat

However, I wonder if the 30cm is a hangover to the speeds in BKC1 - haven't got mine to hand but I seem to recall Pete changed to bounds of 5cm rather than 10cm for vehicles and so there were several changes. It may be it would be better revised to 25cm now instead of 30cm?

Well, the modifier is new in BKC-II, but I agree that if it included 25cm, it would see a bit more use.

For late war examples: for the US, you get to include Stuarts and halftracks, but not the Sherman. For the Germans the Panther and various halftracks, but not the Pz IV, Tigers, StuG etc. The Sowjets would benefit more because you get the T-34 and SU's based on that chassis. For the Commonwealth, again the Stuart, but also the Cromwell and Challenger.

All makes some sense to me.
