Hi,
If I understand correctly an AFV in an AFV pit is only hit on 6 and has +1 to its save value. OK so far, but:

1. can a vehicla in an AFV pit choose to leave the pit? I can't find anything in the rules that says it can't, but, I'd better check (Historically, they can just back out most of the time. But once in a while, people actually bury an obsolete/immobilized tank hull-deep and use it as a bunker. So is the AFV pit a prepared fighting position or a tank that's being used as a bunker?).

2 Do the "hit on 6s only" apply to open-topped vehicles attacked by artillery as well?

3. Can I put an armed but unarmoured Flak halftrack (thus not really an AFV, since it doesn't have any armour )in an AFV pit? Can't see why I couldn't, the unarmoured halftracks are the same size and mobility as an 251/9, for example. But what happens if I do? I would guess it is hit on 6s only, but what happens with the save? No save, or save on 6s perhaps?

1. Yes they can move out of a pit

2. Artillery hits as normal

3. I don't see why not, but no save

OK,
Pretty much what I thought should happen.

Thanks for the prompt reply, might become useful for the upcoming game this week....
