I apologise now if this question has been asked before but can the Battle group commanders(COs)have units attached to them directly as per the lower commanders(HQs)or is their sole function to allow you to reroll on failed orders etc. The other question is do you have to all ways have a battle group commander(CO)on the field or can you just have HQ units available and suffer restrictions as in real life. I look forward to reading any responses posted.

2) Techincally every battlegroup must have a CO. But if you want a battlegroup without one becayse of scenario specific reasons why not...

I often play with just a HQ for specific scenarios if I want to hamstring one side for some reason
