A small question: can you place your off-table Artillery in a gunpit if you pay the 10 points it costs?

No, off-table artillery is assumed to be in gun-pits, etc.

But when we have to count them to be in a gun-pit do we hit on a 6+ insted of a 5+ for towed guns when giving a counter Battery?
