I seem to remember someone mentioning an optional rule from BKC that you could carry hits over from turn to turn. I can't find that in BKCII, was it omitted or did I just dream it up? Since I play at the 1:1 level, it makes sense for a unit to retain damage received from turn to turn. If a Tiger I takes 5 hits one turn, I would hate to face a fresh Tiger the next turn with no damage. I can understand it when playing at the higher level as hits reflect reduction in combat effectiveness of a given unit, rather than actual damage, but at 1:1 I think hits from firing reflects damage or casualties.

Changes the game a fair bit though.

You lose units really really quickly.....

Probably an ideal optional rule for if you want to use loads and loads of units on a big table Smile

I just want to reflect 1:1 combat and zeroing the hits each turn seems counter-intuitive to me at that scale. I expect to be fighting supported company sized battles, around 2000 points. So, an infantry company with tank, recce and artillery attachments.

We had played CWC for about 6 months before we realised hits didnt cary over to the next turn! We misread it and thought it was both hits and suppression for the non active player that carried over.
