Hi Pete
This point came out in the first try out of the new rules with the split between AP and AT stats in BKC11. Now fortifications are manned by command/infantry/guns so firing at these units would normally be using the AP stats. However these are hard targets the point came when we looked at firing with the american 57mm Anti-tank gun (supporting fire to infantry battalion) which has no AP stat but in reality this would seem to be a point that firing at bunkers and pill boxes would be more suitable for an AT round.
What is the rule for firing on these targets only AP or can you use the AP stat?
BTW love the new edition
cheers

The effects are against the troops inside, so you can use either attack and the saves are applicable to both.

Good. Bunker busting was all about precision fire. What the round being used was less important than getting into the opening.

Still waiting.....

Can I just seek clarification for us stupid people.

In a break to the normal rule - when firing on fortifications - any type of weapon can be used. The normal restrictions of having to have an AT or AP value do not apply.
If correct - does this apply to anything else?

And talking of buildings, can I just ask a quick question about cover?

Most of my terrain buildings are ruins, so that I can get stands in them easily. I presume a ruin provides the same amount of cover as an un-ruined building?
