Hi,
how do I have to handle air superiority? The German army list for North West Europe (6/44 - 5/45) on page 102 for example state in the Special Rules "no air supperiority" so referring to the Air Supperiority section on page 8 I assumed it was not possible to use aircraft. However the army list states "Max one aircraft unit per battlegroup" in the Battlegroup Selection Rules and "1 x Aircraft Ground-Attack (10 points each)" in the Assets. Did I miss something when reading the rules?

I've not got my rules to hand but IIRC: you can have the German a/c but the allies (assuming Brit/US for NWE) will automatically have air superiority.

"no air superiority" means no air superiority funnily enough Smile But Dr Dave is right, you can still have air support.

It basically means that you're allowed to use a plane but there's fair chance it's going to the crap shot out of it. If I were you I'd leave it in the hangar!

Thank you for your replies gentlemen. First I thought that the status of "no air superiority" means that I couldn't even start a duck. Well, I missed the fact that I get a -2 modifier when requesting air support. That was the crucial point to make my numb brain understand the procedure Silly

DeusIrae - don't forget one other very important factor:

Late War Germans don't have access to an Air Commander!

Thanx johnboy, it isn't that I want to field aircraft with a late war German army in a Western theatre. I just took it as an example...
