Hi all,
We had a game last friday (well in fact we had two, but that's irrelevant - trust me) and we wondered about two things.

The first is about artillery. I believe that a unit always have to be the target of any fire or charge. You cannot "blind shoot" in a forest or a town. The case, now: The Americans saw a German unit running fast to get some cover in a building, and that ended its movement over the 5cm from the border of the building base. On the next turn, the US FAO wasn't able to actually "see" the unit... thought he probably knew it was there. Could he be allowed to ask for artillery support? I guess the rules clearly states no. Will it change in BKCII?
Second question, aka "the DBM bias strikes again. Let's say I charge an infantry unit in a building with an infantry unit. Let's say half or quarter of my base is insde the building base, and the rest outside. Will this unit be hit on 4+ or 6?
Another example : a unit is part in a wood, part in clear. It is shot at by a unit also present in clear terrain. Will the cover count, or no? 5+ or 4+?
regards,
AB

An artillery template must target a non command unit or a target point for a scheduled artillery template (need LOS between the target and FAO in both cases).

Of course, a Recce unit could spot (no LOS required) for an FAO, but the targeted unit must be the nearest to the Recce unit.
