Just fyi, been using with success smoke for 3in/81mm mortars;
when ordered, roll a dice 'to hit' and on anything but a 1 you can place a base wide smoke marker in front of an touching any enemy OR friendly unit. All normal smoke rules apply. Can be fired as opportunity fire too.
Suprisingly handy in assults etc...

60mm mortars. I acept that a platoon's 2in/60m/50mm mortars are 'built into' the infantry stats. But for several nations/early war, 60mm mortars are grouped more at regiment level or treated as 'support artillery', grouped in 6s, 8s or more. The actual 60mm mortar tended to be more a mortar and less a 'grenade laucher' like the 2in mortar really is. My current eg is for my project of plucky Greeks (tm) vs Italians. So in those circumstances treat as a 2/60, may be a 3/60 where the battery is 8 or more mortars.

Weak 81mm mortar units. again early war, battalions often held 2x 81/3in mortas, not 6/8. So make these 1/120.

Hope useful

I think the latter is why Commonwealth early-mid war mortar stands are 2/x for fire, and mid-later ones 3/x ?
