So best left off-table, or somewhere in the back of a very big one. All this 'lurkers and shirkers' stuff did happen, but it's mainly the units/individuals behind the front-line that are in danger. So, while in a retreat some soldier(s) could be split off from the unit and shot on account of desertion, I don't think this would merit removing the entire unit. If anything, this would make German units very reluctant to split up and head for the rear, which is what exceeding the fallback distance represents. So maybe you should only remove them when they fall back 15cm? |
