Another aspect not covered is in BKC is the ability of artillery to deny areas of ground to the enemy or channel him into kill zones. Interdictive or harassing fire was used to do this.

Basically a template is laid and remains in play until the end of the next players turn. Any unit that is in the template or moves into it (friend or foe) rolls for suppression. As its not a full blown barrage I would say Attack die -2 but never less than 1 (25 pdr would be 1 attack die).

there was an optional rule covering this in BKC1,

you put down explosion markers (craters?) for each HE hit, then suffer a -1 command modifier when units pass within 20cm (or whatever HE template dimension you use) of the hit marker to show harrassing fire factor.

well thats all from memory so I may have it slighhtly wrong!?
