Posted on 28 February 2014 at 21:14:28 GMT I thought that you folks might get a charge out of seeing what I am doing with my old Eldar stuff. These figs have been in a tackle-box for 15 years, only just saw the light of day a couple of weeks ago when Josh invited me to play FWC. Work in Progress pics - fixing crappy, 20-year old paint jobs and putting them on new bases (30 x 40mm): Please feel free to share any comments! |

Posted on 01 March 2014 at 01:58:08 GMT Very cool. . The grav tank in the foreground looks stunning. I've never managed to get results like that when I've tried to use yellow. |

Posted on 01 March 2014 at 07:45:00 GMT Back in '93 or '94 I bought a bunch of yellow Falcons from a guy at the FLGS and the other day I mounted this one on a Green Stuff Flight Stand and went at it to try to clean up the garbage paint job that had been done on it. I added some yellow-orange wash and then started highlighting raised areas with a new 2/0 brush. I am glad you like it, it turned out better than I expected. |

Posted on 01 March 2014 at 12:08:35 GMT It's funny how disappointing a bad paint job can be - changes your whole view of a model and makes you want to get rid of it. But a good paint job will make it tremendous, a real treasure. Just such a fine line. |

Posted on 30 April 2014 at 14:51:24 GMT On Monday I managed to get the last of the tanks based, and most of the bases primed in green. Today I am going to work on the flocking. It's more fun when you aren't trying to do 80-some stands at the same time... |

Posted on 30 April 2014 at 15:37:32 GMT I find basing huge amounts a chore sometimes, but it really does add to the mini's! Good stuff, hope they don't run into pesky ambushes |

Posted on 05 May 2014 at 14:56:12 GMT Here is a shot of all of the painted and based models, there are 5 gunships, 4 tanks and 2 infantry stands left to paint!! (forgive the quality, I took this with my phone because I was excited to get it up here... I'll have 7mp pics of the army and close-ups shortly) |
