So I'm starting to think about serious wotk on my Starforce 300 Battlegroup(s)* and I'm thinking about using pre-cut bases (from Litko) to save some time & effort (I normally make my own out of plastic card for 6mm).

Any advice, recommendations etc? In particular would you use 0.8mm, 1.5mm or 3mm thickness plywood?

Cheers!

Pete

see http://18clovehamhock.blogspot.com/2013/03/futu... for how 3mm circular bases look with 6mm. Rectangular bases are artist mat board which is about 1.5mm thick. I went with 3mm as they were less expensive than 1.5mm. 0.8mm is the same price as 3mm and may be better in appearance though it might be more fragile.

Thanks billb - the 3mm bases look good, and since the Starforce 300 range is big & heavy (more like 1:200 to me) I think the sturdiness will be useful.

Cheers,

Pete
