Hi Guys,

Well I have another force that can nearly face the Red Guards. The force sits at 65,000 points for FWC. So again I have re-based the infantry and done a repaint of the forces.

I have also added the ADEPTUS MECHANICUS PLANETARY DEFENCE FORCE and the Red guard Army again since, I over wrote the other postBlushBlush.

Any ways Link below

Sad you're making me feel inadequate Blush All of mine are in the 6000pt range (aside from my purple Kraytonians) at 13000. How on earth do you store it all?!

I have a metal cupboard, that has three shelf's in it. I use A4 size draws and so I have about 32+ of these. and that's how I store them. Its nice, when you have 2/3 of a shed to use too.

If I go to a friends house, I use A4 containers with lids that latch and foam on the inside. If I travel, we keep the game size low, about 4000 to 5000 points.

Actually I'm more intrested in if you ever use them all Greg?

Storage for 6mm stuff (even with some large models) can't be too much of an issue. But getting the whole army on the table for a game must be difficult.

Our evening games can now take up to around 6000ap per side (with 3 players each side bringing 2000ap allied armies) and just about get a conclusion.

At FWC Bootcamp Paul and I ran around 5500ap (4000ap of troops we chose plus 1500ap of airborne transport provided by umpire) and it did take most of the day.

I've about 8700ap of Kraytonians not including any off-table artillery nor assets and defences and I've never yet had them all on the the table for a game. Invariably I run the same army list based around Arkalasts and an Aryx if I can afford it. The rest sit in the box pleading with me to be allowed out into the sunshine just once even Grin.

No I have NOT.

Best I have done is 20,000 FWC per side(mainly the big guys)and allow reserves to be used. That was a 16 hour session, not including setup of table and deployment of forces. Since I have the shed, I can setup the table and deploy the armies the night or day before and run the game next day as long as I like. Its helps to have a 13 foot by 5 foot table too.

But in saying that,I have units I take all the time and other will get a go now and then and some just sit in their draws. When play epicA some of these units will be used and others may not. I've done 12,000 points aside game using those rules and it took about 8 hours.

At the moment Epica is getting a good work out for some reasonHuh?Huh?. I'm about ready to say "HEY TIME FOR FWC" ApproveApproveApprove

An outstanding enterprize mate, outstanding!

And I do like a man who can see the FWC potential in LVTPs!

My problems are:

a). lack of space (storeage & playing)- the storeage cupboard sale progresses slowly on eBay (no FWC stuff currently)

b). lack of focus (8 armies & rising on the go)

c). creativity (too much time doodling new lists)

d). usually lack of time - job* + other scale gaming + domestic etc * although as I am currently 'resting' between jobs I might focus on finishing off an FWC army - or 2 - hmmm the Kra'Vak (maybe); the Chaos (well possibly); the Dark Eldar (nice); the Orange Orks (indeed); the Imperial Guard (well); Imperial Star Wars-Hoth (not much to do) or what about tidying up those lovvely Neo-Soviets & allies & finally putting them to bed ... (I dunno) ... or the Scyths or Cimmexians or Necron/Terminators ... so much choice!!!

But as we are playing so much FWC 1,000pt (no-massives, no-off-tables, no-flyers, no-minimums) 'Mad Max' it might have to be the Orange Orks + tanker convoy and the Kra'Vaks for starters Cool

atstenicplus-- Yes it did, I got so wrapped up in the game I forgot to take pictures. I will one day do it again, but I'm rusty on the rules and will need to re-read them.So i will do a couple of small battles to get them under the belt again.SmileSmileSmileSmile

at big insect -- wow so ummm hows the wife/kids at painting, that should allow you to have painted armies and spend time with the family GrinGrin.

Yes Steve - fully on 'girly-shop' when it comes to gaming stuff ... that's me & proud of it - handbag, stilettos, prop-up - the works Grin

The missus is no good at that sort of painting Greg - brushes are too far small, and having to stick to a single colour scheme is dull. Mind you, if they were light green & pink (proper girlie pink - not like Steve's not quite purple/pink pansy Krays!) then that might attract her attention for a nano-second longer.

No! it's up to me to roll up my sleeves, just focus & knuckle down to a serious bit of structured FWC painting & basing ... after I've done those 28mm FoGR Landsknects, and those 15mm DAK infantry & of course enough Brits to do the 15mm Colonial Zulu game for next Monday etc.etc.etc (but at least I wont now be having to bother about a Dux Bellorum army - so I can put those quarter painted 28mm middle Saxons back in their box for another 10 years!)Lifeless

I did buy a loada very nice 6mm sci-fi tanker trucks for the Orange Orks at the Irregular stand at Derby a week or two ago ... and what with Mad Max 4 on it's way that might be the 1st FWC army to get the 'treatment'. Cool

Well don't feel to bad, my doesn't either. The mere mention of war-games, she rolls her eyesGrinGrinGrin and smiles said OK dear.Huh?Huh?

Well I don't have as much as you to paint, now lets see 30,000 points epic Tyrnids(could be more), 20,000 points of Necrons, 4,000 points of FOW/BKCII Germans, 10,000 points of Modem USA and 12,000 Modem USSR to do. There's a few terrain projects to finish.StunnedStunned

I'm sure I have some other stuff that will pop up as time goes by.GrinGrinGrinGrin

Hiya

Erm - see your 20,000pts and raise you.......?

Used to play Epic games over a weekend or very large games of BattleForce 2 (Battletech in really large scale)!

Just set out my GZG Dirtside army. I'll have pics to follow once I can sort out my 'phone camera'. :(

Most of the armour is GZG 'as is', except I use the Copperheads as Chariot IFV's c/w Smart Missiles.

Looking at:
71 Chariots
Over 160 Tanks
185 or so Walkers
54 Armoured Inf c/w Smart Missiles

Plus support etc etc....

Thanks

Hi

Yeah. Need to sort them out, then find some way to store them online so I can post a link.

Any ideas where I can store them please? It'll be nice to know that when I've finally sorted out Picture Quality I can produce them here. All I've got now is nice rows of armour, mechs & infantry on two TSS boards, and nothing to show for it! Sad

Then I can sort out my Eldar army for photo shoot! Grin

Thanks

Hi

Not sure how well organised that lot was. Much prefered my old 35MM SLR camera to the Blackberry. Ah well....

Here's a link to the first part of the Eldar hordes..

Nice, but you need to have moreGrinGrinGrinGrin.

I have GZG force and it sits on about 5000 points. At the moment it gets used for spare partsGrin, so I image it has dropped in points. Must take a picture of the ATML vehicle I made from combining super heavy tanks together and other parts from the spares box. It also gets used for the battle force battletech.

Like the colour scheme of the eldar and look forward to the next installment of the force.

regards

Hi

Thanks people. My Eldar force is about 12,000pts so far, plus about 7 large Titans.

My 'not' Imperial Guards is quite a large force too, with 6 Arty Companies & 19 Super Heavy tanks. (I've bought some infantry from Angel Barracks to shore up my infantry ranks in a mainly armoured force). Oh, and I've got a few Titans there too! Grin

I'll try and replace the GZGstuff with Eldar soon!

Hi

Here's the link for the latest Photobucket niceties:
http://s1035.beta.photobucket.com/user/paulh195...

Please note that yes, it is still a work in progress (you can clearly see 24 massive tanks thet need rebranding into th yellow peril), and I'd not completely cleared some of the Human Walkers & Helos away yet.

(Plus I'm not looking forward to repainting those Titans again)! Grin

Thanks
Paul H

Hi

Toxic - don't feel diminished!

I can't transport my full armies. Nor run a game at home (not big enough). Nor can I get regular games anyways.

Having done my 'six', I've learned Logistics is at the heart of any military campaign.

Now, if I can only get the right numbers for tonight's numbers' game...... Grin

Thanks
