Would there be much interest in 6mm sci-fi wildlife?

Creatures that roam the alien worlds, either in packs or as lone predators.
Alien hunters and alien 'cattle'.

Not intelligent races but the alien equivalent of wolves, sheep, pigs and alligators?

That sort of stuff?

They'd add flavour to the terrain Grin

I imagine the BV club would go for it.

There is some stuff in the Irregular range - particularly rat swarms in the 6mm fantasy...

That'd be interesting...although I'm always unsure about too much wildlife on-table when I'm recreating a warzone - my experience of animals [wild & domestic] is that they tend to feck off, quickly, at the *first* loud bang, never mine hanging around for the next few thousand rounds to be let off Smile

Some of the GHQ horses muight do......

Have used the GZG bugs as wild life - killed a human tank in their last outing.

My advice is if you want to see what Shedman and I saw tunred into a line of figures as we think it should be then vote yes.Gimme

Who's to say your Alien wildlife can't also be inteligent if you want them to be!

Yes it is those you saw and more from the same scuplter.

If this proves a commercially viable product then civilians will be next!

I made a post a while back about ... "the Blob, it lives!"
with the idea being that there are swarms of large (28mm) predatory 'blob's like large slugs crawling about on the planet surface ... a bit like the smaller one that cuts through solid rock in an early Star Trek episode (& also runs down & desolved humans with it's acid secretions!!!
I was planning on using the old 28mm Grenadier Miniatures Cuthulu blob creatures ... now sold by Mirliton ... but in theory you could use just about anything to represent them or use some herds/swarms of smaller ones if you were up for making them?

Another idea I'm working on is a 'big game hunting' scenario. This was inspired by the big armoured snails from Cimexian range, produced by Brigade Models (NB:I am still working up a full Cimexian list for attaching). My idea was that the hunters would have to use fast light buggies or bikes with shorter range weapons and hunt down the 'snails' which also had the ability to deliver short range toxic chemical defences (flame throwers or plasma shots) or to assault the buggies if they got too close. Must sort out this, plus another couple of pre-prepared scenarios I'm working on ... ("One of our Birds is Missing" & Rendition"!)

But some 'herds' of multi-legged lions (Banths) or Zoats (multi legged horse type things) would go down well with the Jon Carter of Mars fans anyway.

There is a desperate need for 6mm Zoo animals in order to do a scenario from Bolo

There is a throw-away paragraph in A Time to Kill from Bolo! by David Weber about a fight in a zoo.

See http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=FSms7-F5_3gC...

Search for Shem – the paragraph starts "She'd found Shem in Battersea"
