Hi all,
Had a great Saturday playing a round robin of three 2,000pt FWC sides playing each other once. Each player played each other and we each took turns in playing on each side of a preset table, which basically had a huge hill in the middle of the board with the road running around it and off to the sides and lots of wooded areas and hedges.
First of my Chinese took on Barry's Human Baccus army, I raced across the board and he got stuck in an wooded area because of OP firing, my own firing and Artillery, didn't help that the HQ then commander failed to order them in one turn and no Aircraft was successfully called in by Barry game was finished by the 6th turn.
Next up Barry swapped sides and then took on Kev's PadFed force, was a quick fast game lots firing counter firing for no effect both sides reaching there brake point and after the 8th turn the PadFeds came out on top. Highlight of the game Barry rolling consecutive double ones.
So for the decider for King of the Hill Kev swapped to the other side of the table and tried to stop the Red tide,
The game dragged on for all 8 turns both of us reaching our brake point but not retreating in the last turn, I filed to bring on the AA and LePeng SPATs for 2 turns but the MBT's managed to absorb his firing from his tanks on the left side of the hill the infantry did a sterling job of holding up his infantry and 4 tanks support, mainly due to the FAO managing to bring in two 30cm (two gun) bombardments each turn on each side of the road so pinning several of his units each turn until the tanks had finished playing on the left side once they started to re-deploy to the right the writing was on the wall.
Overall I lost 1 SPG (mao Zhedong), 7 units of Infantry and 4 APC's to his 3 infantry 2 wombats, 2 cougars, 2 ocelots, 1 Komodo, 2 Koalas (one SM)
We each had brake points of Barry (9), Kev (9) and Me (12) which I think probably helped a lot.
So overall a great day had by all, well especially by me
