Not yet. I'm trying to finish painting all the GZG stuff I have before I buy another army.

They are next on my list though.

I've just ordered a bunch of 15mm Quar, so expect to see some army lists coming up in the next few months.

I've got some ordered as well. Would be interesting to see what kind of stats are developed from the folks who play 28mm Quar.

My order has arrived. These are some cool looking minis.

Smaller than I expected, but they will make a great army.

I'm building my armies now.

Basically, I'm doing two figures to a stand and ten quar to a scale figure. 2 stands of four figures thus make a Quar company. A Catrawd, or Quar regiment, is made up of 9 normal companies and an assault company, when at full strength. Quar, however, seem to be a bit like the armies in the ACW and will raise new regiments or combine old ones as much as they'll fill up old ones, so you can build all sorts of mixes.

For a regular Crusader Catrawd at full strength, I'm doing 18 stands of infantry, 2 stands of assault infantry (kit-bashed flame throwers), 3 HQs, 3 light mortar stands and 3 light machinegun stands.

I'm also building a mixed grab-bag force of Crusaders which is made up of bits and pieces of old Catrawds. It has 14 stands of Guards (w/2 HQ, 2 mortars and 2 LMGs) which are remnants of two different regiments, 4 stands of combat engineers and 2 flamethrower stands (what's left of an Engineering unit), 3 cavalry stands, a Baeliog Tank and two stands of infantry guns (converted Pendraken 150mm WWII German IGs which look appropriately Quarish).

This second force will be the remnant of a full Crusader brigade and the first force will be the green, full strength catrawd sent to reinforce it.

Not sure how I'm going to do the Royalists yet. They're all cap and bare heads.

Let us know how you do your army!

The plan right now is to base on FoW medium bases. 4 quar to a base. I bought 2 infantry companies, so that should give me plenty of bases. I was considering using someone else's idea of universal carriers as AVFs.

I like the Pendraken infantry gun idea.

I just checked out the minis on their website. Interesting and neat looking figures. I like the concept. Wink

I thought about doing them up on FoW-style bases, but I also wanted them to be more flexible and to be able to use them for Rapid Fire as well. So two Quar to a base and two bases to a company it is.

Anyhoo, here's a the TO&E of a typical Crusader Catrawd:

1 CO w/CV9
3 HQ w/CV8
18 Crusader Infantry Stands
3 Light Mortar Support Stands
3 Light Machinegun Support Stands
1 Flamethrower Infantry Stand
1 Assault Engineer Infantry Stand

Of course, one could assume that the LMGs and Light Mortars are sunsumed within the infantry stands, but given that the model is more WWI than WWII, I felt that seperating them off as support stands gives the game a better "feel".
