Just received FWC and have not had a chance to read it in detail, so please bear with me.

A quick glance at the Artillery section seems to indicate that Preliminary Bombardment only occurs once at the start of the game. In other words, unlike BKC’s Scheduled Phase at the start of each game turn, there is only one scheduled bombardment and it occurs immediately before the first game turn.

Is that correct?

That sounds pretty simple. I'm going to try that with BKC too. And I like the simple three phases only.

Thanks,

One more question:

Rules say that you need to use assets for preliminary bombardments and one unit can fire per preliminary bomberdment bought.

The only assets which seem to be useful are orbital strikes. But isn't preliminary bombardment purchased to allow your ARTILLERY UNITS to fire before the battle?

And I can only see lists where you can have max 1 preliminary bombardment per battlegroup. So does it mean that only 1 unit can perform the attack???

This would mean the bombardments are very weak, only 1 attack from 1 unit is not any serious preliminary bombardment.

Or am I misreading things?

thanks!
