The FWC rules on issuing orders to Mortars appears to be slightly different to those written for BKCII or CWC.

If making a command roll for mortars to fire, does the distance between the spotter and the mortar cause a modifier to the command roll?

Or should we be naking the mortar crew independant (at 20 points per crewman)?

The Mortar question(s) has/have never been answered. see this thread http://www.blitzkrieg-commander.com/Content/For...

here are some high lights---

Maybe I'm missing something here, but
"Calculate as an artillery concentration, using the distance between the unit and the target for deviation"

is not the same thing as
"P26, 3rd Para, 1st sentence: "Mortars are indirect fire weapons that fire at individual stands..." "

An artillery concentration is a defined term in the game mechanics using a small template.

Are you saying that these mortars use a template and deviate, AND only hits one target if one happens to be under the template?

Question If that is the case can they use Target Designators?

..and don't get me started on SPGs being less effective in the future than the Cold War.
SPGs being hampered by not being able to indirect fire unless another spg has LOS to the target
