Posted on 02 June 2010 at 15:47:13 GMT Some questions about how air superiority is worked out, not sure if this should be posted here or in the Custom List section. Have been through the rules several times trying to find how air superiority costs are factored into an armies basic profile, also looked at the "standard" lists and still can't work out the logic. Having just played our first game with gunships (we got it completely wrong but thats another issue) I was trying to work out how the cost and factors are generated. Looking at the lists in the rules there are some lists where it is obvious why the modifier has been applied, lots of potential air assets or AA equipment making the overall battlefield potentially dangerous. But there are some lists with as much potential AA equipment without any Air Superiority bonus, and more confusing there are some which get a bonus but don't appear to have much equipment to provide the strategic/grand tactical hostile air environment I understood the bonus to represent. At the moment it looks like the bonus is "free" and has the potential to make it pointless to try and use any form of air asset. |
