How do flamethrowers (and pulse weapons) work against units in bunkers, since these weapons hit multiple units in their line of fire? E.g. if a bunker has 4 units garrisoned in it and I shoot a flamethrower at one does the shot affect:

(a) the bunkered unit being targetted and any units outside the bunker in the line of fire, or

(b) every unit in the bunker (since technically they all occupy the same space) and anything outside in the line of fire?

Nobody have an answer? If it's (b) then I may need to wave a pointy stick at my own army list as the cyber-undead stellar orb would be unintentionally overpowered against fully garrisoned bunkers.

Sorry, missed this one Blush

They will just hit the units in the bunker.

Pete, just for clarity: they hit just the units in the bunker but not other units outside but in the line of fire (presumably because your aiming specifically through the firing slits in the bunker)?
Do they hit all the units in the bunker or just the one selected as target for the attack?

Cheers.

Just the ones in a straight line from the target unit, so as normal, but the flame/pulse ends at the back of the bunker.

Nearly there (my brain is definitely getting slower). The one thing I'm still unclear on is this scenario:

I have a bunker terrain piece model on the table representing a capacity 4 bunker. Inside the bunker are declared to be 4 infantry units. The units themselves aren't placed on the table as they are hiding inside the bunker so I cannot see directly which of them are in the line of fire. Are they all considered to be in a straight line from the flame/pulse firing unit (since this line crosses the bunker and they are all inside it) or is only one unit in the bunker considered to be in the line of fire and the others are missed by the flame/pulse weapon?

Basically, does a flamethrower torch everything inside the bunker with a single shot? (Pointy stick suggests no as this would then cause many arguments over which order the units were hit in if it were instead a pulse weapon firing whose attacks decrease with each successive unit hit).

Life was much simpler before I bought those bunker models...

You're best off saying that just the one unit is hit.
