anyone playing BKC II solo, if so how are you playing it

any advice appreciated

This has been discussed at some length on a previous occasion and the general consensus was playing with yourself makes you go blind.

On a serious note there is a section on solo play covering the commander series in general.

Play solo most of the time, as ChrisJ says, see solo section.

An earlier thread on this filled up with silly jokes, I'll just cut and paste my reply from that so you don't have to wade through all that....

Things that I've found have worked:

I use Panzer Leader counters and plus 50% dummies, and place the defense on the board with the counters upside down. I do this one or more nights before actually playing the game. Even 1 day later, I can't remember exactly what's where. Counters get revealed when spotted. Or I'll peak at them if they have a good reason to consider taking opportunity fire.

Defense gets some reinforcements:
There can be a couple of reinforcement options, dice to see which one arrives.
and/or:
Dice to see which road the reinforcements arrive on.
