Platoon Forward is designed for solo players. The system generates personalities in section 1, scenarios in section 2 and events in section 3.

It was designed for platoon games but scales up easily to company games, with a little tweaking could be used for battalion games.

I've not heard of this, Tony. Is it a book or something on the net?

Its a way of adding character and narrative to games (any system for 20th Century warfare allegedly) Someone on TMP has been developing it and has written stuff up on various games in his blog http://platoonforward.blogspot.com/

Gwydion has it spot on. Section 2 is the largest section and is devoted to scenario generation which is most useful, I have played one game and it worked well. Check out the links in Gwydions post.
