Posted on 26 October 2009 at 15:06:47 GMT Been making some more scenery, Middle Eastern Style buildings:- http://skinnedpuppy.blogspot.com/2009/10/10mm-a... Need some help with next bit though:- http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm109/skinne... I want to put a dome on the top of this building, like the following:- http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm109/skinne... However the top of the CIF bathroom cleaner bottle is too big ideally I would need some thing about 4-5cm diamater, any suggestions? |

Posted on 26 October 2009 at 15:25:12 GMT Good suggestion! At 40mm diameter these would look to work well, and cheap too! Talking off ping pong balls I remember my uncle once telling that whilst at school as punishment for a particular heinous crime he was made to write a 10,000 word essay on the subject of the interior of a ping pong ball, the thought still makes me shudder. |

Posted on 27 October 2009 at 08:17:21 GMT Doesn't it make you sick?!? I just bought some Kerr and King arab buildings, they are no where near that standard, still I get to use it so I can't complain! |

Posted on 27 October 2009 at 11:25:40 GMT Those K&K are really nice though - they were done in response to a good number of people [including loads of us from here] pestering them to do 10mm stuff...the only shame is that not enough people bought them to convince them to convert all their nice 15mm range into 10mm as well... |

Posted on 30 October 2009 at 11:01:06 GMT Cheers Nik, Yeah Sketchup is great, i'd used it about a year ago in plan mode for a work based project, dug it out again the other week and kinda amazed myself at what you could with it in 3D. |

Posted on 06 February 2010 at 23:01:39 GMT I know it's a bit late, but it is possible to get polystyrene balls of varying sizes and just cut them in half. They are available in Boyes (UK) and are not too expensive. |
