For fecks sake! If my mates and I had presented a sandbagged position like this to the Really Scary Monster we'd have had our heads ripped off

Surely people research stuff before they model it

These wouldn't stop a fart let alone a bullet...

I can remember a demonstration of how ineffective one row of sandbags was when I started my basic training for the TA back home. At 300m (I think) the rounds from a C9 (LMG thingy) webt straight through the sandbags (which had been there for some time) and demolished the water cannister behind them. It was a very effective lesson in what not to hide behind....

As far as I remember, sandbags three deep stopped bullets....
