Hi.
I'm having a bit of an issue. I'm going to make my FIRST modular terrain boards soon, but I can't find any cheap acrylic paint to paint it with. Everything in Denmark costs 20 GBP for 750ml. Can I get it cheaper somewhere on the internet?
I don't want to spend too much money. I found some 500ml bottles on www.theworks.co.uk, but they only ship within the UK(if I'm correct). Any suggestions?

Yes, nothing cheap there, I might try e-bay. Haven't looked there yet. Smile

What he said, DIY stores are ideal for this.

Alternatively shops that sell kids stuff, look in the arts area and pick up cheap kids paint. The sort of stuff you get on kindergardens to keep the little darlings busy in the day.

Yes, if you are just painting terrain boards, use craft paints or perhaps even go to a hardware or DIY store. Sometimes these stores have cans of wrongly mixed paint. One of these might be in the right shade. If not, if you mix two colours from the opposite side of the colour wheel (complementary colours), you end up with a muddy brown colour. For example, mix red and green or purple and yellow.

(Essentially, you want all three primary colours in the mix. In theory, this would make black, but in practice, it usually makes a muddy brown)

Still can't find anything. Confused The DIY stores in Denmark are pretty boring for a wargamer. I've been trying to find some on the internet, but I haven't had much luck. Most paints are either expensive or sold in small amounts(and therefor is still expensive). Even Amazon has no paint suitable for my project. I'm still searching, but I could use some help.
If you know any stores or web stores (that ship to Denmark) I would be glad to hear about them.

Strangely I can't find any of those kids paint used in kindergartens, I remember them though. Ah, the good times where the biggest problem was using the paint! Wink
