Over the weekend I bought a ton of 3mm Pico WWII armor at Fall-in. Now I'm looking for some suggestions on how to model roads in 3mm scale. I will be starting on the Eastern Front, so I'm most interested in dirt roads at this point. My initial opinion is roads in this scale should be about 10mm wide.

Also links to Pictures or battle reports of games using 3mm figures will also be helpful.

Thanks in advance

I based the width on the size of the bases I was using so that they looked right on the road. Possibly this made the roads a little big but I think it looks better.

Road width is something I gave up worrying about many years ago just need to accept they are out of scale in some way or other. Don't do 3mm myself but found the easiest way to decide on road width was to make them the same as the model bridges I own, so my 15mm roads are 40mm wide and base widths all fit in to that.

One of the best things I found to model roads is dark grey or black cheese cloth with lines painted down the middle.

You can see these roads in my folder on the 3mm yahoo group.
