I'm revamping my scenery at the moment and painting up some nice Timecast buildings. However, they cost a few quid and I'm thinking about scratchbuilding some as I've done 15mm and 28mm in the past. Not only that but I have some mould making stuff and intend to try and cast some up.
I am however new to casting and am wondering how much of an undercut/recess can I do?
I'm assuming you have a certain amount of leverage. I also wonder how companies such as Timecast have open windows in their 'part -damaged' range'.
I suspect that the models have a thin 'window' which is removed after casting? Is this feasible?
Mostly they would be solid lumps but it would be nice to have blown-out windows on some.

I am, its an edge of the seat thriller about a bunch of guys who sit painting model tanks all day.
Then one day, one of them runs out of paint..
Bound to be a winner!
