Posted on 23 February 2011 at 18:41:51 GMT I've got the dimensions needed for the products listed below, but I forgot to ask if they were flexible or not. Can anyone tell me if they are or not? 37/027- 6mm Dirt Road (10x straight sections) = 6" long x 1 1/4" wide 37/025- 6mm River Section (10x straight sections) = 6" long x 1 1/8" wide thanks, Doug |

Posted on 23 February 2011 at 20:32:58 GMT The roads are flexible but I am pretty sure that the rivers are resin. |

Posted on 23 February 2011 at 21:53:11 GMT Jeff- thanks. angelbarracks- I checked them out too. In the end, timecast has more bang for their buck...or British pound I can get about 6ft worth of rivers and roads cheaper than through Total battle miniatures. Thanks anyways |

Posted on 24 February 2011 at 10:27:57 GMT Deagle, Sorry, none are flexible... I am myself looking for flexible roads and a river set...and when I replied to your e-mail I was looking at the Battlefront River set and was trying to find their rural road set, which is made of latex. Sorry, Timecast roads and rivers are NOT flexible. |

Posted on 24 February 2011 at 16:21:05 GMT Guys, the magnetic sheet people (I think they're called Coritani)do flexible roads and rivers. A 12" river section costs less than £5 if I remember rightly. Check them out on www.magneticdisplays.co.uk Hope this helps John |

Posted on 24 February 2011 at 19:45:35 GMT Why not just make your own? http://blog.belisarius.org.uk/2011/02/on-road-t... I've just done the sample and have started on a large batch with a couple of curves and crossroads etc. Probably not flexible enough to go up and down hills but damn cheap! Modern roads to be done next Andy |

Posted on 25 February 2011 at 11:01:28 GMT Count Belisarius, Von Ted and Ravenchild are all correct - it is very easy and MUCH cheaper to make your own roads. I've made around 20 feet of roads from vinyl flooring, decorator's caulk, a bit of paint and some flock - and it's cost me less than a tenner! However, Jeff and Doug were asking for manufactured finished products and I reckon the Coritani ones are pretty good for the price. From a personal standpoint, I think roads are a piece of cake to make. And, if you need a staggered junction or an extra bendy road, you can make your own, to your own specificition, within a couple of hours (plus drying time). I do, however, find rivers to be a bit more of a pain to make and am still tempted to buy some ready-made ones. |

Posted on 26 February 2011 at 21:50:56 GMT I had a trip to Hobbycraft today and picked up a few sheets. It looks very promising for modern roads. I shall be playing with it tomorrow so will let you know how I get on. Andy |

Posted on 27 February 2011 at 01:20:44 GMT I have seen something on eBay called Rubber Cement, but I've never used it so don't know if it's suitable - anyone got experience of it? (Maybe the latex fetishists among you!!! ) Puzzled |

Posted on 28 February 2011 at 03:31:02 GMT I've started an attempt at making my own rivers. I actually had some 0.40" plastic construction card cut at 2" x 8" for FoW stuff years ago. As of now, I've got one piece that has Liquitex gel drying. Hoping it doesn't warp when it's dry. |

Posted on 28 February 2011 at 14:43:25 GMT It is ok for us, if making roads, but if you wanted to use the whole sheet... sloppy customer care. Imagine if they did that to their packs of paper, drove 2 holes through each sheet. mumble grumble.. |
