Here is the link to Total Battles Miniatures that featured in the "Bear Fur Game" at Triples. Not sure why it hasn't been posted here yet as they produce some lovely scenic pieces.

I've looked at their site a couple of times and have a prospective order in mind, anyone dealt with them before and willing to post their experiences?

I just recently learned of these guys.... I would love to see some of their 15mm western European stuff up close. I have read somewhere that the 15mm is a little larger than other mfg's....

I have a pack of their dirt roads. They are nice and bendy, although I've not tried painting them yet.

Pete, is that bendy like a plastic ruler, bendy like a leather belt, or bendy like a strip of cloth?

None of the above, best if I take a pic and show you that.

Here's a road section draped over a torch just to show you how bendy they are:

You can bend them so that one end touches the other and there is no sign of breaking/splitting/stress.

Wow, I was trying to convince myself to place an order.... but wow. Wow wow wow... crazy expensive 15mm buildings. Unpainted even... $53 to get one delivered. Can't really justify that, they are nice looking on the site however.

They are expensive, that's why I haven't ordered any more of the roads.

I've seen their ranges up close and personal at shows, but haven't bought any.

On the plus side - they look lovely and the paint-jobs are superb. The buildings that I saw had no visible flash lines or bubbles. The village and town "bases" are modular and everything fits together beautifully. And, as Pete has demonstrated with his torch, they use flexible resin (not rubber or latex) for their roads.

On the downside - they're very expensive!! And, for those that are by bothered by these things, the roofs don't come off the buildings.

So if you've got the cash, you can get some lovely buildings for your games table. The rest of us will have to "mend and make-do".

For those out of the UK, Maelstrom Games stocks some of the TBM range - and does not charge shipping.

They are charging USD33.20 delivered for some of the roads, for instance.

I have a number of their 6mm village pieces. They are very nicely done. The bases are latex sculpted with roads etc and are seperate from the buildings. Shipping the the US was fast.

I saw the 15mm Eastern Front buildings at Triples this year and they are superb.

I think they were the pre-painted sales I saw and the paint job was excellent.

As demonstrated to me at the show, when dropped on a hard surface - the exhibition centre floor - the model bounced rather than shattered (as my resin ones would have done); and the paint did not come off - as it might do say with plastic figures dropped and the plastic bends (eg arms of foot figures or tails of horses) when the paint usually sheds in strips regardless of the undercoat applied.
