Hey guys
long time, no speak - don't you hate it when life gets in the way of more imporant things like beer, mates and gaming?
Anyhoo I've set up a BattleTech FB group to bring players together but as we all know, especially with the release of the Alpha Strike ruleset, those mini collections of robots, infantry, armor et al some of us have had stashed away for years can finally return to the tabletop and I think FWC makes for the perfect ruleset to that end.
You can find the group here - please feel free to join up, membership is based on approval and I monitor posts fairly consistently so there's no problem whatsoever speaking about FWC as a BattleTech universe based alternative (the Commander series and Warmaster being my all time favourite rulesets!)
Way I see it, as each lance comprises between 4 and 5 'Mechs, one would be designated a leader with an overall CO in a vehicle or off table altogether (hovering safely in the atmosphere, this is sci-fi after all)
Same would go for infantry, armor etc...
One commander per lance, an overall CO and lots of fun playing with 30' robots smashing up cities!
Please take a look at the group and if join up to share your pictures, AARs, experiences and line up games if you like.
You'll clearly need a FB account to join but otherwise as I said I'm the group's admin and putting in the effort solely to grow awareness of the BattleTech universe and hobby - all manufacturers' figures are allowed and welcomed, there'll be no trolling or criticism of non-canon forces accepted in my group.
You'll find the group here,
https://www.facebook.com/groups/6866665480... Hope you'll join us and help grow the community, raise awareness of FWC and line up some games ASAP.
Thanks in advance!
Stevo
