I'm considering moving to Lancashire next summer but I might equally stay put. As one of many factors, does Lancaster or places accessible from Lancaster have any BCK, CWC or FWC players? If so, what scales, I have various half baked projects but would be happy starting afresh.

When I was at uni in Lancaster 10 years ago (oh my god!) there was a very good club in Lancaster, held at the Grammar school. I don't know if they play and xxC series games though.

Yeah the club is still here - BKC isn't played very often and if it is its usually a BKC-Spearhead hybrid. Otherwise its mostly warmaster ancients but all sorts are played including black powder. Held in the old building of the grammar school on east road on a tuesday night starting at about 7 though most people show up between 630 and 7.
We also sometimes play weekend games although these usually coinside with the schools club.

GavinP did you take part in a big D-Day/Easy Company game in 20mm? Would have been about 8 years ago I think?

I did indeed, along with a number of other good games. I remember a big computer moderated ACW affair as well as Dan's homewritten WW2 rules in 6mm often.
