I am only part way through but i have already experienced a range of emotions reading this:

To The Last Round by Andrew Salmon

It is mainly about the British 29th Brigades incredible fight in April 1951 when the chinese launched their massive attack across the Imjin River.
It goes into quite extensive detail about the Gloster Regiments "last stand".

The survivors thoughts about the war, and the heartfelt way in which koreans remember them is particularly poignant.

Does the book include numbers of KIA/WIA for the Glosters ?

I think the regiments correct title was The Gloucestershire Regiment or The Glosters, never the Gloster Regiment.

Please correct me if I have gotten this wrong.

There are various figures quoted in the book - one is a roll call taken on 26th April 1951 with a tally of 129 men, out of the entire battalion.

As to the name the book does indeed use the two correct titles you mention - i just mis abbreviated when i made my post /shrug

What was the strength of the battalion at the start of the battle?

Does anyone know the casualty figures for the battalion and the brigade as a whole? The only figure I seem to remember is 53 KIA and unknown WIA/MIA for the battalion (cant remember the captured figures of the top of my head).
