Just finished this and would recommend it. However, you won't find much in the way of detail about the fighting, the book is about the people and more a social history of the invasion and lead up to the winter counter attack.
It is still a very good read though.

Thanks for the heads-up - there aren't many books on the battle for Moscow for some strange reason.

My local war book store is lacking Battle for Moscow books too. No shortage on Leningrad or Stalingrad.
