Just picked up some of the Ian Allen Spearhead series and Blitzkrieg series at £2 a pop rather than £13 from Publishers Book Clearance. They also have some Tanks in Detail but I only found ones on the M3 and M5 light tanks.

Blitzkrieg Series

The books themselves don't look bad and would be handy as an intro to a new theatre giving an outline of events and forces involved and some pictures I've never seen before.

1 Poland and Scandinavia
4 The Balkans and North Africa

Spearhead Series

The books include origins and history of the unit, a brief overview of combat history in WWII, weapons, uniforms and insignia, significant personnel, a short post war summary and references.

6 1st Infantry Division
8 1st Marine Division
10 2nd Armoured Division
12 US Rangers

The books listed are the only ones that were available at the outlet I visited and would imagine that it's likely to be pot luck as to what is or isn't on offer.

These are pretty much the only ones they seem to have, at the one in Barnsley they also had Students Fallschirmjager and U Boat Flotilla's but thats it.

Is there a list of the full range of books or a website in them by any chance? Whilst they look quite good for £3 each only the North Africa and Fallschirmjager ones really interest me.

I got the one on the Condor Legion at Crystal Peaks remainder bookshop at Sheffield as well as some of the other titles noted above but this was well before Xmas.

Similar in scope to Osprey, and like them often the photos and colour prints are best parts to them.
