Few days ago Russian Centre for Analysis of Strategies and Technologies released a book titled "The Tanks of August" - collection of articles dealing with the military side of Russo-Georgian war.
I just got my hands on it, and so far it seems it's a gold mine of information for anyone interested in this conflict (and modern warfare in general).
Pdf version (in English) is available here:

A fascinating series of essays. Am I right in thinking that the download is free? I would be interested in a hard copy but could not see anything about a price can anyone enlighten me?

Cheers

I couldn't see anything about cost for hard copy other than that shipping is free; therefore I requested one [under the company name NH Consultancy] - if I get an electronic invoice, I'll ignore it & just print out my PDF Cool

I couldn't see a price for the hard copy either. Hmmm?
Russian Strategic studies organisation giving away free hard copy of a book on Russian conflict with Georgia - and all you have to do is register...do you think SVR/FSB/GRU is going to be diappointed with NH Consultancy Nik?Grin Or is this a move to the private sector coming upCool

As long as it's not *that* kind of private, you know, the one down the dark alley. In Siberia...Stunned
