I am currently ( nearly finished) Pyrates by George McDonald Fraser

I have to say this is one of the funniest books I have ever read and recommned it to everyone

Seconded - As good, if not better than, Flashman - and that's saying something.
Not for the historical purist/pedant, but a real mood lifter.
