Hi guys.

I need a scenario as in the topic. I think 2,5k - 3k point will be enough. On 7th & 8th of May we have a convention in Warsaw, Poland. On the first day me and my mate want to play to major games from 1st and or 2nd Gulf War (US vs Iraq, because I don't have right now any Brits and French). But for the second day we were thinking about Fulda Gap scenario from GHQ's Micro Armour site. But I think that this scenario will not work... So for now we don't have any other. So I'm asking you guys maybe you have ready to play scenario from Cold War era US vs. Russians. I don't have Brits that's why I cant play some scenarios from Download section :( We will be playing on 120x180cm table so it's quite big, with 3mm (1:600 - Oddzial Osmy) toys.

So, if you have a scenario like I need, please link it up here. I'd be very grateful.

Cheers

Your 2.5k of forces will be swallowed by that table in 1:600. Thomas.

That's about a brigade's worth of troops.

A good-sized table for that size force would be 60x90.

Look back to a post last year - Soviet air assult tries to seize a bridge held by a light force, the defender is then reinforced by a substanial Mechanised group, whislt the soviets get a "Forwared detachment" of the reinforced Div Recce btn - with say two tank companies and two MR coys.

Any details? I found some similar scenarios on Tim's and BigDave's blog, but this is not it. Still looking...

I don't know what is the TTG's Modern Battle Zones, so if you could drop some links it'd be nice, moreover if you'd change that scenario it'd be superb. Maybe I'll manage to do it myself.

I really wouldn't like to pick a forces for 3k point and play some casual game. I'd like play some specific scenario.

Cheers

Hi Mark

I've pointed the Russians to about 9,345pts!!

Less AGS-17s and their transports!

Thank you very much Mark for help and email but I've to say something.
My bad that I didn't do that eralier but I think it's not as important as it looks: we are playing 1 stand = 1 squad = 1 vehicle. Maybe it's weird but we do Smile But as I said I think this list is good to that level too.

And second thing is:

"2 Squadron HQs (Battalion HQs) each 1x M1 Abrams CV9
Up to 8 Troop HQs each 1x Abrams CV8, sharing a total of:
18x M1 Abrams
12x M3 Bradley (recce)
2x M106A1 mortar carrier "

I'm not following this one I think... :( Does it mean that I've 2 HQ(CV8) and 2 HQ(CV9) and each of them can have up to 8stands?

Cheers

Hi Thomas

I think that Mark is suggesting treating each US Squadron as a 'force' with a CV9 commander. Each squadron can then have a share of the 8x CV8 troop HQs and the fighting stands listed below!

If you're playing in 1 stand = 1 section or vehicle this TO&E is probably not very helpful! I think that I have a 1to1 scale order of battle for US Armoured Cavalry in the 1980s somewhere, ah - try this link:

http://collinsj.tripod.com/US_ARMOURED_CAVALRY_...

The Russian TO&Es work/convert better as what Mark describes as a 9 model 'battalion' becomes a 9 tank 'company'!
