Posted on 08 October 2012 at 14:10:32 GMT Hiya, Has anyone had any thoughts about the number of units that may be carried by aircraft like the IL-76 or AN-22? I've found a mini campaign in an old copy of Miniature Wargames that requires both soviet para drop and airlanding! |

Posted on 08 October 2012 at 15:31:49 GMT 84 page 10. It gives some capacities for soviet aircraft, but I'm trying to work those into CWC speak! No info about what NATO forces at all though! |

Posted on 18 April 2013 at 19:35:45 GMT So, with reference to p104 of CWC, how can a Chinook carry 8 stands, and a Sea Stallion 12! |

Posted on 18 April 2013 at 21:26:51 GMT Hmm, a platoon per bird, four birds to a CWC stand should make four stands (or a Bradley stand, arty stand etc). Yeah, looks a bit high too now I think about it |

Posted on 15 June 2013 at 11:38:29 GMT Anyone know how many troops a An-30 Clank would hold if it had to. I know its regular role is photo recce and weather surveys but if it was pressed into service how many combat troops could it hold? Cheers Richard P |

Posted on 15 June 2013 at 11:51:04 GMT Since its a variant of the AN24 it might possibly be able to accommodate between 44 and 50 passengers depending on how it was refitted once all the survey equipment was stripped out. Cheers Steve |

Posted on 15 June 2013 at 12:15:13 GMT Thanks Steve, So in CWC terms using Mark B's conversion 1 aircraft = 3 real life aircraft so we are looking at 3 units/aircraft. Does that sound about right? Cheers Richard P |
