Am (slowly) collecting squad level forces for the Indochina War. I notice that Viet Minh platoons have 2 "Assault Squads" made up of mixed rifles and SMG's and 1 "Fire Support" squad of an LMG with some rifles and SMGs. Am ruminating on representing these with a regular Viet Minh unit for the Fire Support squad and 2 WWII Russian SMG style squads for the Assault squads. Or perhaps I should just use the same stats for all 3! Any thoughts or adviceConfused

Ta in advance!

Probably makes sense, more a question of supplies than terminator style super assault squads!

Hi

I did more or less what sultanbev suggested. I put five figures with smgs and rifles on a base for the assault squads and only four on the fire support squad(2 lmg and two no2`s). I use pendraken figures which use the czech lmg which looks like a bren gun. In practice the Lmg squad was probably split up and attached out to the two assault squads but I still represent it with better fire power.
