I was just wondering about how best to classify NATO Territorial infantry reserves, and/or Home Guard formations?

The temptation is to go with Conscript but it does seem a bit harsh.
Obviously it might depend a lot on the country concerned. The West Germans might be higher quality than others (maybe).

Any thoughts folks?

British and US - both regular. Danes - maybe conscript. For the rest they are used to round out unit strength rather than form specific units, so regular.

What Ian said, I think - unless there's a significant change for the time, eg post/during-Iraq when Bush & Co. had gutted the US Army Reserves and NG, but pre-Obama build back up, but barring (maybe) Vietnam I can't think of any period in the last Cold War that would affect?
