Can you use the reserves rules to move your infantry forward? It seems safer than riding in APC´s. If you have to occupy an objective, then would it not be a good idea to buy a load of conscripts, keep then in reserve and the pull them out of the reserve box once your CO/HQ reaches the objective. Safer, cheaper and faster than moving then forward in APC´s.

Absolutely, if you've cleared the objectives well enough to get them in and ready. It's rather what real world reserves are intended for.

You could also grab a chopper to air insert them, if you're brave about AA fire.
