Posted on 29 September 2015 at 09:11:52 GMT I'd be tempted to treat it as a normal recce stand, or model on a HQ base tbh. Never really come up with anything I actually like. Maybe no change in chance for range for recce action, but make it a 4+ all the time and cost it a bit more? |

Posted on 29 September 2015 at 13:58:06 GMT I thought recce ignored smoke in the same way it ignores terrain ian? |

Posted on 29 September 2015 at 14:50:30 GMT It shouldn't but. Think we need to put a distance on that I think...perhaps the GSR is doing some of that. IanS |

Posted on 29 September 2015 at 16:16:22 GMT Sort of. My take on it was that for FAO and FAC you removed 1 scatter die with GSR, 1 with GPS and 1 for Laser rangers, with the obvious caveat there is always 1 die. We havnt used that yet. IanS |

Posted on 29 September 2015 at 20:00:23 GMT I would have thought its just a recce stand under the optional recce rule. No LOS needed to spot. Put it in the middle of a wood and spot away. |

Posted on 30 September 2015 at 11:14:34 GMT Would there not be some jamming going on? Some radar gets beamed down information from AWACS planes or satellites perhaps? If it all kicked off some of these means would be put out of action? There will be some UAV use too now? |

Posted on 30 September 2015 at 17:09:47 GMT Info is in the form of vertical lines on a CRT display. Differentiates between Vehicles and infantry, but cant tell if the infantry is cows, horses or in joke wild boar. IanS |

Posted on 30 September 2015 at 20:10:31 GMT I think you're getting way too deep on this one - the recce rules are an abstraction. The stand is just a marker representing the centrepoint of a "recce screen" scattered across a wide area. That is why you don't need to be able to draw a line of sight from the stand/marker to a target you want to spot. It doesn't matter what vehicle you represent the recce with. It is an 'effect' based rule rather than a simulationist rule. |
