Hello everyone,
Just a couple of quick ones. Can ATGW's target infantry units? I doesn't seem to clearly state whether or not in the rules and typically you wouldn't fire such a weapon at infantry dug in, say in woodland. It does mention using them for engaging buildings in which infantry units are hiding however.

Also, I'm wondering if I have a platoon of M113's transporting infantry, firstly, does the M113 carry 2 infantry squads as the rules state that transport units have 2 spaces, which seems a little excessive to me for an M113.

Also, transport-wise, can the aforementioned M113's carry a command unit for the infantry that is being transported? It doesn't say so but the rules do allow helo's to transport command units. Either way the infantry won't be able to act unless it is dismounted from its transport unit, with or without its own command team.
Thanks!

I don't think they would waste ATGWs on infantry, although in the Falklands, the British fired LAWs at Argentine positions.

I allowed APCs 2 spaces as it saves having all the models or you can just stick one unit in each APC - up to you. Command units don't need to be transported.

Further to those questions, I have more! Are recon units independent as they only seem to be able to act i the initiative phase, or are they linked to a HQ and can be comannded in the command phase like other units?
Thanks!

Ps: thanks Pete for the response

In the rules you can fire IATW and ATGW at infantry who are dug in - ala LAW, Carl Gustavs and Milan at Argie trenches.

I've met a chap who fired a Javelin at 1 Taliban!!!

Pete
The Milan was used against dug in positions in the Falklands to great effect, especially against the sangers.

So if Recon are not commanded to move do they move at the same time as the Command units do?

No, they're not treated as command units.
