Played CWC last night in a small game (for us)two identical forces (think ZAPAD-81) playing the encounter scenario. 6 MBT Tank Battalion and 10 BMP-2 Motor Rifle Battalion with 2 CV-8 HQs and a CV-9 CO. Comes in at around 3400+ Pts a side (BMP-2 and T-80 ERA)

Knowledge was a bit rusty as we hadn't played for a while so can you jog my memory on a few points please.

IFV firing ATGW in the Opp fire phase, does the target which is the moving side get the additional movement/cover bonus, or does that only apply to "normal" ATGW Fire?

Moving into Dense Terrain has no movement penalty just a command deduction.

Reinforcements allow MBT to be placed in the pool and reinforce an air assault?

Help appreciated as always

you only get the bonus if you pass an evasive action test. We apply it to normal and opp fire. remember this counts as an initiative action.
Dense terrain has no movement penalty just the command mod. some area terrain counts as dense terrain depending on the unit entering it (pg12) so the rules for entering area terrain apply (pg19).
as its written, yes. but it might be a bit gamey to reinforce an air assault with tanks, but not against the rules.if they are part of the battle group and in the reserve pool then you could argue why not.

Thanks, so on the subject of ATGW if a unit on the active side evades it loses any further actions or does it pick up a -1 for having conducted an action? This only happens with IFV firing ATGW in the Opp fire section or would you recommend a different approach

Happy with the rest of the answers, we haven't played in a while so it was a flick back and forth for the answers a lot.

pg 12 in the command modiiers box -1..."carried out an initiative action this turn" , so yes they are on -1, or least thats how we play it. it would be interesting to hear how others play it or what pete thinks.Smile
