I just noticed, as I'm getting ready to complete my Cold War Europe mid sixties French, that the stats of the AMX 13 75mm gun are 3/50. This seemed a bit low, as that gun was derived from the KwK L70/75 of the Panther, and matched, from all accounts, its performance. Furthermore, a quick check of the Israeli list shows that the M50 Super Sherman's gun stats are 3/70 : that tank used the very same gun as the AMX 13.

Is there a reason for the difference? If that is just a mistake, by how much need I rise the value of the AMX 13 to bring its gun stats up to 3/70?

of course please read "Super Sherman" in the title... blame the fact that the boards allow far too few characters in a title.

Could be that the AMX-13 is unstable - with oscillating turret. There could also be considerations of crew quality.

I thought the AMX had an autoloader, therefore ROF is good right up to firing the 6th round, then it took an age to reload it.

Well, it's not the best looking tank around, I agree... but at the same time, we fielded M47 Pattons which look extremely cool

I love the look of the AMX series! I find myself tempted to dig out the Cold War era French I've got somewhere in the attic...
