Hello folks,
I wonder if anone can shed any light or clarify the Israeli Sherman desgnations in the Army listings on page 66 of CWC?

In the rule set the following are listed:

M4 Sherman, I assume that these are the first Israeli Shermans they had with the 75mm (re-gunned 105mm Shermans).

M4 Sherman (105mm) – the Shermans that were fitted with the 105mm howitzer

Then there is the ...

Super Sherman.........does this represent the early Shermans that were known to the Israeli’s as the M1, with the 76.2mm gun or the later Mk50 Sherman with the French 75mm?

Isherman, the M51 Sherman with the 105mm I presume?

I think its the dates in the notes which is confusing me, along with a lack of identification to armerment on each type........

Thanks
Andy

I think that you're right.

M4 Sherman - the "normal" sherman
M4 (105mm) is with a 105mm Howitzer
M50 (Super sherman) is the Sherman with the long 75mm (A shortened version of the Panther gun from France)
M51 (Isherman) is a 105mm Sherman - again a gun from France.

It wouldn't make a difference, M1 Sherman with 76mm or M50 with long 75mm - same stats either way Wink
