Suppose that this has been asked before.
Why do only the Russian lists have Saggers mounted on their BMP-1?

"Hello comrade here are the new BMP-1's that the glorious Soviet Union have supplied for you to use in your fight against Imperialism"

"Where are the missile thingy that goes on the big gun. See here it is in the 'Soviet Arms catalogue 1974' next to the girl clad in a fetching but practical leather bikini"

"Well comrade they are what we call an optional extra and your government wanted the cheap and cheerful version. So no missile thingy for you, plus they are a bit complex to use"

According to Command Post Quarterly magazine

In 1973 Syria used BMPs without missiles due to lack of time for crew training.

In 1973 Egypt used them with Saggers (but minus infantry due to lack of time for training) as 'tank destroyers.

There are pictures of Syrian BMP1's with sagger on the Golan in '73 - though they seem to be KO'd, AND the Israelis claim that none crossed the "purple" line!?
