Posted on 28 August 2010 at 23:04:42 GMT Hello Pete Please can I ask the reasoning behind Air Superiority counting against Attack Helicopters and not against Air Assault? Isn't the purpose of gaining Air Superiority to inhibit all air movement, not just that of fixed-wing aircraft? The Americans have even managed to bring down at least one of their own transport helicopters with CAP (after two F-16s both allegedly visually identified it as a Hind!). Also are Spotter Aircraft and Helicopters subject to Air Superiority attacks? I had imagined that as long as they stayed on the table they weren't, but when they entered the table they were - reasoning that Air Superiority relates to off-table events rather than those above the actual battlefield. However this thread has made me wonder. Regards Puzzled |
